Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are quickly becoming a significant segment of the global aerospace market. The Kansas UAV consortium is working hard to make sure that Kansas has a role in this growing industry.

Kansas has a long tradition of cutting edge aerospace development. Our industries have lead the world in general aviation design and production. The UAV Consortium is continuing this tradition of excellence and taking Kansas aerospace into the future.

Infotech@Aerospace 2007 Call for Papers

The AIAA has announced a call for papers for the Infotech@Aerospace 2007 conference. This conference will be held May 7-10, 2007 at the Doubletree Hotel Sonoma Wine Country in Rohnert Park, California. This conference will include presentations from experts in UAVs, systems, and systems integration in all kinds of aircraft. Additionally, the latest developments in IT for aerospace systems will be presented.

Abstracts can be submitted starting June 1, 2006. Papers must be submitted by October 14, 2006. For more information, go to the AIAA website for the conference.

Several backend upgrades were made to the website in the past week. This will increase overall reliability and security. There are a couple more updates that will take place within the coming week. You probably won't see any visible changes. Within the week a list of Consortium member organizations and their representatives will be published here. By April, a new section will be added to search for various capabilities of the member organizations.

Much has been done in the Consortium since the last posts here. Currently, Consortium meeting agendas and presentations are available online. Check the "Docs/Announcements" section for more information. Additional material including presentations, meeting minutes, and subcommittee meeting minutes will be posted soon.

There have been some technical and organizational changes made to the website as well. If anything doesn't work right, please contact us.
